Shades of Hope Wildlife Refuge

Due to the rapid urban development in South Central Ontario, a large number of local wildlife fall victim to accidents, human cruelty and lack of suitable habitat and food. As the need for rescue of these orphaned and injured animals has increased, Shades of Hope has made the commitment to provide veterinary care, proper nourishment and a safe place to flourish until they are prepared to resume their rightful place in nature.
We are licensed both Provincially (MNR) and Federally (CWS) and have the facilities to care for both birds and mammals. If you have a wildlife crisis, we will try to help. When we are unable to assist directly, we will help find another resource where possible.

3,000 Wild Lives came through our doors for care in 2016. The demand for consideration and care for our compromised wildlife continues to rise as ongoing urban sprawl devastates habitats and depletes natural resources.

If you have found wildlife in distress, call us at 705-437-4654. If you find an orphaned baby, make sure that the animal truly is orphaned before rescuing! Mom may just be around the corner! www.shadesofhope.ca

Shades of Hope is a Registered Charity and is not funded by any government or business organization. We rely on the generosity and commitment of donors. We encourage everyone to take a stand to ensure a healthy future for our wonderfully diverse environ

Our Mission is to nurture, treat & rehabilitate injured and orphaned native wildlife with the goal of releasing healthy animals back into their natural habitats.
